HyboFOAM® RF PMI (Polymethacrylimide) Foam

HyboFOAM® RF (Re-enforced Fine) is a closed-cell rigid foam plastic based on CFC-free PMI (polymethacrylimide) polymer.It features an ultra-fine and unique cell size distribution of less than 0.1 mm.

Description and Application

Based on the proven performance of HyboFOAM® C, HyboFOAM® RF maintains excellent mechanical properties and is particularly well-suited for resin infusion processes thanks to its fine cell structure.

Processing Parameters:
Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 150°C and pressures up to 0.5 MPa.
Structural components can be manufactured using the following curing methods: autoclave, vacuum bagging, RTM, VARTM, VARI, HP-RTM, and more.

Due to its excellent resin absorption characteristics, engineers can achieve an ideal balance between peel strength and lightweight performance.
HyboFOAM® RF is also very easy to thermoform, bond with various adhesives, and machine using standard CNC tools—making it adaptable for a wide range of part sizes and complex geometries.

Applications:
HyboFOAM® RF is highly versatile and suitable for most sandwich-structured composite components.
Typical applications include X-ray/CT tables, sports equipment, vehicle and high-speed train interiors, floating equipment, and fishing gear.
